The pen is mightier than the sword, and so is the camera. As a multimedia journalist, I incorporate visual content into my reporting. Photos and videos play a powerful role in storytelling, and I intend to take full advantage.
I was a one-person prep sports department at the Pocono Record in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, which made me responsible for everything from feature stories and Athletes of the Week polls to football highlight reels and photo galleries. It all came together on Instagram, where I built a community from the ground up to engage with content.
